I just got my preorder for JTL and started playing but I need a joystick (obviously). All I have is mouse and keyboard. Could I get some recomendations forjoysticks? Hopefully from some devs?

I currently use a Saitek x45. The general impression of beta testers was if you are going to use a joystick, the Logitech and Saitek lines all work quite well.

Although if you have real money to burn the Hotas cougar pretty much beats anything else on the market.

I personally use a now discontinued MS sidewinder 2.A little sloppy (ie too much give) with the stick but overall a decent joystick. You might be able to find one for cheap online. I'll eventually upgrade to a saitek x45 or x52(?) around Xmas. Heh I'll probably to geta new desk for it since they're a bit bigger than what I have now, but those sticks are nice.

I'm using a Saitek Cyborg EVO and it works fine, smooth and all, and not very expensive. It can be adjusted to fit your hand, and the only thing I don't like is the throttle position, which is somewhat unnatural. I'd have gone for a HOTAS, but due to lack of space I couldn't.

So, if you want to afford a HOTAS, then go for it, I heard people is really happy. For "normal" joysticks, the EVO is really good and works fine in game.

I personally prefer the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro. It'squite a bit cheaper than the Saiteks, and it covers all the basic functions needed for JtL (i.e., a hat, twist-handle, twelve buttons, speed throttle).

Thanks for the info guys, I bought a Logitec Freedom 2.4 cordless joystick today, its great. Its very responsive and comfortable. And being cordless has no effect on performance, the signal is quite strong and only takes 3 AA's.
