Last night, I saw an Imperial Pilot Ace (eqivalent of Master Pilot), and he owned a VT49 Decimator (a multipassenger ship). Me, and a few others hoped aboard with him to fly in the ship. As a group, he told us that we could complete our own missions in space as a group, in the one uber master ship, regardless of our certifications.

So this would mean that some master could take up a newbie pilot and "do" his missions for him with ease. Also, I think this would lead to the potential to allow mass exp grinding... imagine the group exp that could be granted to a newbie blowing up powerful ships because hes in a master pilot's multipassenger ship turret.

Any comments?

Sure, a Master Pilot can help newbs gain xp, but its not like they are gaining the xp at a faster rate. Those missions only pay out at limited rate to begin with. Besides, it'll encourage grouping and the use of the multi-passenger ships in space, and that can't be all bad.

yeah, the new system with pilot is different, so yeah, you'll be able to get the xp faster, but you HAVE to do the missions in order to advance, so the most a person can do is get them to the xp cap then they'd have to do a mission, then they could xp grind to cap, then do a mission so they could train, etc.

You can't just grind out all the xp and train up everything since the pilot tree forces you to take the boxes in order and you have to do the missions given to advance. I was doing this for a person, I took them up in a Y-wing (I was 4/4/4/4) at the time, and went to kill higher level mobs, the person I was with was 1/1/0/1 I was able to cap him at 60k xp, but then he had to use 7500 to get his last tier 1 box, and it takes 60k for each tier 2 box. So even after I helped him he still could only take that one box, and still had to get 7500 more xp before he could take his first tier 2 skill, after which he'd have to then do a mission.

Yeah it'll speed things up, but not really that big of a deal.

That is a very good point, but there is always the xp cap per tier.
