How good is the mouse/keyboard flight control?
What do the Dev's use?
Can you ram your ship into others?

This is just my opinion, but if you don't have a Joystick, your not flying a starship, your guiding a hyperspace capable rock. (I also despised Freelancer for the inability to use a joystick.)

For me personally, I found it easier to fly with a joystick. I could move the joystickup, down, left, right, and twist left and right to control pitch, bank/roll, and yaw...plus use the slider switch for throttle and the various buttons on the joystick and base for all the weapons, missiles, countermeasures, boosters, etc.
However, I found it easier to be a gunner on a Y-Wing with just a mouse....left, right, up, down, and a button to fire.
I concur.
I have a very old Microsoft Force feedback pro: http://www.microsoft.com/mind/0698/forcefeedback.aspThat I think just died on me. It was great. I blew up the second deathstar in XWA with this baby....
I am considering replacing it with the Saitek X-52: http://www.saitekusa.com/usa/prod/x52.htm
