My Wish list.


1. No Decay when declared Overt.

2. MP Ships get a forward facing gun for the pilot.

3. Targeting boxes (Blue and red corners round everything) can be turned off.

4. POB weapons can damage subcomponents on the Corvette, Star Destroyer, and Rebel Space Station.

5. Weapon Overload 3 fixed.

6. MP Ships only take damage from missles. (temporary solution to making these ships better)

7. Missle lock on Corvettes possible at 1000.

8. Missle lock on Rebel Space station possible at 1500.

9. Missle lock on Star Destroyer possible at 2000.

10. MP ship crew members can reload missle launchers and countermeasures from inside the ship.

I'd like this, but I wouldn't want it to be implemented until the turrets become gimbaled. If it were to happen now then the Pilot might have better luck with the single front mount with a decent engine and EO3/4 than the two turrets combined. That would feel terribly wrong as the turrets should be the primary blasters. Get the turrets gimbaled, though, and they will be the primaries, even if the Pilot gets a front mounted.

Yeah, sort of. I think Tomo has said that the inability of Blasters to damage capital ship systems might be an inadvertant bug. I won't complain if it is intentional, as it will make 'bombers' necessary against cap ships, but it does seem as if POB ships should have some more leverage against cap ships than just the front mounted ordnance.

I'm always wary of 'temporary solutions' as they tend to create other problems. A more permanent solution of significantly enhancer POB-only components with RotW would, to me, be better. It has yet to be proven just how effective those components will be, as initial testing was.... unimpressive.

I'm also wary of any situation where players can use problems with ship/turret AI to stand back and pound an NPC while that NPC is unable to fight back. I do not mean blindspots in the turret arcs, I mean when you can hit a GU at 540m but it won't hit you until you get to within 520m. Also, ordnance currently has maximum flight time limits which, if greatly lengthened, could pose additional problems to fighters attempting to dodge/outrun enemy missiles

The extra distance to lock isn't so they can fire from farther away, missle flight times will still limit this, it's so the lock can be established and missles fired when in appropriate range. Right now locks don't start until you get within effective range. Bombers would still have to make their attack run and get close enough to launch them so they still hit.

Missle lock for all other fighters should remain the same for time being. When you are attacking the ISD it just doesn't feel right that you can't lock on to it long before u are in range. It's HUGE. The missles should have an easier time locking on larger targets imo. Corvettes can shoot u at 1000 m i'm pretty sure. Total flight time for missles can be tweaked so ppl don't exploit this.

Opps on POB controllable by pilot. This cannot be more true than when using cap to shield shunt. I like to controll the opperations in my ship withouthaving to say"now!" to save my shields.


As for WO3, I don't mind it being without charge. So long as non-imp pilots can still get the chip for it, then it's good. If everybody can get it, then it isn't unbalancing for PVP. I tried WO4 once with my best cap already overcharged; I could barely squeeze off three shots. This cap normally has a recharge rate of 46. If anything, the weapons' cap demands should be lower for weapon overcharge. I think I'll argue devil's advocate for this catagory.


I also think they should replace the rebel shield "dance" programs with shield overload and engine Pitch yaw roll overloads.

I'd lessen the number of times an escourt mission would be allowed in one mission (I mean come on...who thought these would be fun to do over and over and over again during one mission?) ...and well, change a lot of things with the length of some Storm Squadron missions

Why the different distances for missile locks? If you want the range extended why not a flat distance or possibly a missile specific range extention? It doesn't seem fair to allow theone sidea 2000m buffer and giving the other a 500m shorter buffer. That and to be quite honest wouldn't that just lead to people just loading up missiles and taking out targets that are supposed to pose a difficult and unique challenge with zero risk? I don't agree with points 7-9 at all.

Sounds he's thinking the bigger ship would present a bigger sensor signature or something like that.

I'd be fine with that... but I'd think the Star Destroyer would likely have a larger range on its guns, as well. It should be dangerous to approach a hostile Star Destroyer... much more deadly than it was in the XvT games...

My biggest are (in no order):


1) stronger POB ships, give them insane shields, keep the weapons the way they are

2) fix WO3

3) give pilot of POB ships the ability to run droid programs, maybe give it a 2X delay so that a co-pilot is still desirable. It is 100 times easier to find gunners than co-pilots, even a reduced ability to run programs from the pilot seat would be a blessing =)

4) uncertified ships, for the people who just take novice pilot, these could be freighters and personal cruisers like the yacht (non combat ships), lets just see more of them =)

5) more cannon ships - rebel "slug" transport, Imperial shuttle etc etc

6) more ship variety in deep space - throw some nebulon-b frigates out there, the model exists, it is in Endor. I'd just like to see some variety

7) lower resource requirements on ships - as it is now on intrepid you can make more money selling your resources on the bazzar than you can as complete ships! that is just wrong, I'm not 100% sure lower resources would help though =(

8) Better crafted engines - let us get engines up into the pyr range of 70-75, and still have high 90's speed

9) No decay for overt status deaths

10) POB ship launchers can be reloaded by crew
