Thread: Did the CU effect space?
the system now has a new look to it new targeting system some old commands removed some new ones installed.
the new space mining system has been installed for RoTW players to get to grips with, there have been few system enhancments and some nerfs
but hey its still the same if you want to fly.

Basically i never really played in space unless i was really bored, and i canceled my account a couple days after the CU went live. Now i was thinking in school about the space fights in the movies and was wondering if i should re-subscribe and playin space, i just want to know...
Did the Cu effect space?
Is pvp active in space?
I heard that you have to do mission like in the village to learn skills, could i do them alone?
Is there alot of content in space?
Thats all i want answered, I think space might be fun, though i never tried really, used it for traveling.
- No, the CU did not have any fundamental effect on space. The targeting recticles are now slightly different (presumably to match the style of Episode III) and the asteroids and asteroid bases are now available. Other than that, no, JTL is still (thank god) JTL.
- Only in deep space (which you donot reach until Mastery) is PvP mandatory. Otherwise it is purely consenual, requiring you to initiate a duel and have your opponent accept in order to fight. That's okay, NPCs are fairly challenging anyway.
- You can do allmissions alone if you're a good pilot with a better ship. However, as you get to Tier 4 the missions get hard even for old vets of flight sims, so it's good to have a buddy around. Once you hit the Corvette Mission (the last mission before mastery) having a group of around 5+ competent people is almost a must.
- Though others will likely disagree, I found that the best content in the entire game is the story-based space missions. There is some tedious grinding at Tier 3, but it's over much faster due to the merciful lack of the silly level system. Many missions, especially at later levels, are multi-faceted ordeals. Buggy missions have happened, but I personally have not experienced one since the first month of JTL.
Hope this helps. ![]()
