Now one of the features of the digital download is also being offered to new players.
They will now also get the extended storage as we will. But I know that there has been a lot of complaints here about us who have been playing for years and have the game already. Not being able to get the BARC speeder. This really is a slap in the face to its current player base. Yes I know we can get it from the new players. But i am sure that it will go for millions. Really whish they would reconsider this move. Anyone else agree with me?

The whole digital download thing i think is sony trying to keep costs down.
It costs money to produce, package, distribute, and keep on the shelf , those CD's.
SO i think they're tring to encourge as many people to download it as possible so they don't have to produce/ship as many CD's.
With the latest CU debacle, im guessing their trying to leave an additional carrot on a stick with this latest move for returning players or players who might reconsider their departure.

This is BULL. The only reason I got the stupid pre-order was for the ship storage.
I am cancelling my pre-order and will just buy the stupid thing when it hits stores so I get the BARC and the SLOTS.
I could give a CRAP about getting to play a totally bugged live beta for a little bit before the rest of people.

Are any of you familiar with the phrase "Damned if you do, damned if you don't"? Because that's the situation that SOE is in right now. They announce the download. They announce the free lizard. Everyone whines because JTL is free with it, and they don't get a discount because of this. Then they announce the all-in-one with the bike. NOW everyone whines about JTL, the bike, and the fact that there isn't enough "incentive" to buy the download. SOE follows this with the announcement about the extra ship slots. The players respond by then whining about the download again, because they want the bike and the extra ship slots. They extrend the ship slots to everyone, and now you're whining because the download isn't "worth it" again.
JUST BE F'ING HAPPY FOR 10 MINUTES. Gods. SOE is doing their best to please everyone, but still offer different incentives to different packages. But you people just refuse to be happy. You have to find some fault in all of it. You want to know why no one from SOE ever responds to anything around here? Because no matter what they say, you people complain about it. If you're going to complain anyway, they may as well just save themselves the headache of talking to you.

I could give a dam, I got two expansions for the price of one and a CU that slew that old evil combat system called "ROBOCOP MD." That's a friggin bargin any way you look at it, especially from tight wad Sony

Personaly I'm glad that anyone who gets the expansion will now get the 3 extra datapad slots. Preorder rewards shouldn't have as big an effect on gameplay as this one would have.
