Working on the same problem. Can't open it on the ground best I can figure. Still searching for stations to take it off my hands...or put it in them.

answer in a previous thread, use radial wheel from datapad on the ground, there is a function called unload cargo

still no clue as to sales options

Found a Mining Outpost. Go to Tatooine and choose the sector most appropriate to the situation. The station is not far but its also not on any of the charts.

There's a mining station in every system. Just scan through the non-enemy targets (' key by default) until you find a mining station.

If you wish to unload the resources to craft with or sell to other players, go into your datapad, click on your ship and hit "unload resources". If you want to sell your resources for quick cash, there are stations in different sectors (like the RSF station) where you can sell them.
