Thread: How to get those resources with my tractorbeam from the damaged Freighter?

when i use the tractorbeam, multiple systemmessages appear:
"incremental count"
finaly the freighter explode, but no cargo in the hold!
(itsa Captain - Koh quest)
any hints? Thanks!

There will never be any cargo. As long as your tractor beam is the only thing hitting it you'll eventually pass the mission. The freighter will explode once you've finished.

I ungrouped and reset weapons grouping the first time but got trigger happy... lol 
So since it was a paining fighting lag in Kash i didnt want to have to try it again.

FYI using the tractor beam on the ship in this fashion sends it's resources directly into your backpack/inventory. Have your backpack open while using the tractor beam and you'll see the quantity increasing.

Use only the tractor beam... [I personaly failed the first time so removed all my weapons except the tractor beam the second time ... I have decent shields though].
It takes a bit to finish but just hold that tractor on it until you get mission completted.

You could have just ungrouped your primary weapons. That way you can fight back if need be. Just add your weapon into the group when enemies spawn and remove it once you've destroyed them.

Several other people had this problem too. A simple workaround is to travel (dont launch) to Corellia from Kachiro, and then launch into space from there. Then the mission will function properly.

YOU NEED TO UNGROUP! (not your Weapons, but with your teammates!!!)
It's a repeadable BUG! This Mission only works Solo!

I hit the ship with the tractor for a total of about 10 seconds. It brought so many fighters in that I had to stop... fought them for a bit and then when I thought it was safe, I decided to switch to guns and destroy the ship. When it was toast, it said I'd successfully completed the mission.
This mission definately seems to be buggy. The message "incrementing count" you get when you tractor the ship isn't even a quest message, it's a generic system message, meaning someone forgot to replace it with something more accurate, like... "transferring cargo". Anyone else who finds something more about it, post it here. I'll include the findings in the space mining guide I'm developing and credit everyone who contributed.
