That points your gun forward. How sophisticated. I could do the same with some duck tape and string.

Where do you get this duck tape?

Try here.

(Though I don't think WAL*MART have opened a branch on Tatooine yet...)

I wouldn't be so sure. Chances are that somewhere on Tatooine some mall somewhere is in fact named WAL*MART. Seriously though, if that sophisticated targeting computer theory is actually true then it's really quite sad. Who needs a computer to point a gun forward?

Well, if there isn't one already, I'm gonna make one.

I tried to take a guildmate up in the gunner seat of my Y-Wing LP but I could not get the "Invite" button on the starship terminal to light up at all.

We were already grouped (and I tried this ungrouped too). and the "Invite" button remianed greyed out.

I could have sworn the Y-Wing LP was a 2 seater like the regular Y-WIng (the only difference being you could equip a 2nd missle launcer and both guns could be fired by the pilot.

Am I mistaken, is the Y-Wing LP only a single player ship?

Y-Wing Longprobe is a single player ship. Y-Wing is a multiplayer (2) ship. In Y-Wing Longprobe the pilot controls both weapons. In Y-Wing the pilot only controls the front weapon, whether there's someone controlling the turret or not.

According to canon, there were 2 versions of the normal Y-Wing:

The BTL-A4 was a single seat fighter with facilities for an Astromech. The BTL-S3 was a two seater varient which did not require an astromech. The longprobe was a modified version of the -A4.

In SWG the lonprope is basically an -A4, and the normal Y-wing is kind of a hybrid of the two varients, with the two crewmembers of the S-3 and the astromech capability of the -A4.

Hope that helps
