It is a player city specialization. It causes the mission terminals in that city to payout more cash for the missions.

Hi,

I just created a character last week on Bria. I also purchased the expansion. What I'm wondering is how much time should I spend on the ground game before going to space? Which should I focus on at this point. Right now i'm almost to novice pisoleer.

thanks

your ground skills dont afect your space skills but some of the missions in space may require you to get into a aarea you have to have done a theme park for. as i heard one mission requires you to enter the emperors retreat to get it but you cant enter unless you have done the missions there.

It depends on how you play the game, if i were you I would enjoy dabbling for a bit, i think back to when i first started playing the game with virutaly no money no skills and no idea, It was fun.

I envy you mate I wish i could go back and enjoy grouping again and finding my feet, i would say as a quick piece of advice the profession you start off wanting to do chances are you will change it several times before you find something you are happy playing as.

And if i was in your position i would split my time between the 2 so you get to see a great deal of variety to start with, though on a practical note youll need money to pay for starships so just something to think about.

Welcome to Star wars galaxies and have fun

well 1st off you'll need a good source of income... space wont give you that... ships and parts are outrageously expensive right now, get TKM a set of ubese and run 30k mokk missions out of dantooine in a player city that has "an improved job market" that's all you'll need to support your space escapades

Yep - you'll need to build up some cash first. A couple of hundred thousand should be enough to get you started though it may take a few weeks to build this up.

By all means do the tier 1 stuff in space with your starter ship to get a feel for it, but you will need to buy a new ship chassis for tier 2. You shouldn't need to buy any components as you will likely loot everything you need to get your new ship up and running during the tier 1 missions.

To be a new player to SWG is great. Just running around and taking a look at the game is well worth it alone. You will need to have some knowledge of the ground game though to play JtL. You will need to visit player vendors that can sometimes have mobs in the near vacinity. You will need money and ground transport but really I'd take my time and have a good look about the place, doing whatever I felt like at the time rather than grind one aspect of the game for the other.

I think what I will try and do first is get enough XP in space to get a ship with a hyperdrive. Then I can travel to different planets (saving money).

thanks

I agree with this. Space is very expensive right now, buying new ships and components (after novice), reparing your ship after getting blown up after getting mobbed by 10 ships you can't hit because they are invunerable from the side/top/bottom. Politely paying to get healed in mind, health and action after the massive wound you take from "safely" ejecting from your ship.

I recommend doing novice and the first pilot tier, then focusing on the ground game for a while (plus you will have a space ship to travel in from planet to planet (requires hyperspace player crafted vehicle) ) Build up some money and skills, then head into space whenever bored. Space things should come down in price after a while, (unless spaceloot gets nerfed, hehe.)

Oh, that's right... this is the reason I love TK 4000.

Not trolling... I'm quite serious. Meditate is invaluable now more than ever. Worth every one of the 49 points it takes.
