Well what I hope happens is this:
1. Tweak out PvP combat so that it is more than just a couple shots(was in Kessel the other night with a pick up group and I loaded up a Y-Wing with 2400pt shields and 1200pt armoralong withsome heavy weapons at 3500 max dmg... was killed by another player that was on a straight run with only two shots, I deserved it sense I was looking at the black holes and not my radar).
2. Reintroduce PvP for Master missions in Kessel(however, thats now going to be borked due to the amount of masters that are going to be in game starting today)
3. Additional "Content" for players that acheive Master Pilot. (I'm not talking more PvP zones with more of the same lame circle flying ship AI, but actual story driven content.. Like adding a reason for Smugglers to exsist besides slicing some armor and weapons. Or maybemissions where you have to buy crates of player crafted weapons and drop them off with a ship somewhere in space for Jabba... Or what about transporting illeagal resources from planet to planet by hyperspace? Not onlythat but throw them into PvP space zones... Adding in Imperial Checkpoints that have to be avoided or where you have to get a ligit or near ligit codes from a smuggler).
The outside of this standard list I would eventually like to see:
Additional Elite Pilot Proffessions ...
"Freighter Pilot" for the storage and "long haul" trips,(Master Artisan combined with Master Pilot, and allow for Serveying and Harvesting Resources in space zones)
"Hunt Saboteur" a reverse proffession to the Bounty Hunter, (Master Bounty Hunter combined with Master Pilot, then change up or add capture missions so that the JTL enabled BH has to launch into space and Hyperspace to the new location with the bounty, there the Hunt Saboteurcan intercept.)
"SmugglerPilot" basically a "revamped smuggler" combined with Master Pilot (their ships, and onlytheir ships, would allow for additional storage that would be concealed from routine Imperial Inspections and Check Points. Also the ability to slice Custom or Looted components that would only fit into their ships only)
"Wing Leader" Squad Leader combined with Master Pilot, (basically add in abilities for the Wing Leader to offer additional bonuses for targeting hardpoints of an enemy to increase damage, the ability to "Call Targets" then allow for others in the wing to use the ever so absent /assist command)
"Turrent Gunner" Commando combined with Master Pilot, (the Turrent Gunner would have the ability to tweak and adjusttheir weapon stations, then be allowed to target and take out shield generators along with other ship hard points with greater speed and accuracy)
"Wingman" Master Pilot, (The Wingman would have the ability to see what ships their wingmates have targeted by having a group color code on the target... green for group members and pink for group leaders. Additionally the Wingman would have special abilities to peel enemy targets off of wingmates)

Dunno what happened to this post having such huge font on the bottom half...

Agreed

Since PvP was only an environmental condition, it was never a requirement for completion of Master, nor was master EVER a right of PvPers, this is utterly rediculous and unbalancing. All advancement was always based on PvE objectives, PvP is soley consensual and no one deserves special rewards or titles just for PvPing in a game were EVERY aspect is based in PvE, that is the game, sorry you dont like it.

Some good points, glad 5% of the game population finds the game so easy, because many of us are actually challenged by the NPC stuff.

Now that I look at that post I realise I made an error in wording there... what I ment was "Reintorduce PVP to Kessel" ... and I do understand where folks are comming from when it comes to the PVP aspect of Kessel during the course of the PVE mission... Trying to make 30 NPC kills plus dealing with players... then trying to take out a capitol ship and still dealing with players...
Iam actually rather indifferent about the subject, neither liking nor disliking the idea of PVP in Kessel. It was just a matter of accepting what the Developers dished out... Personally just having a challenge outside of the NPC AI would have been a nice change of pace... and I actually fly as an Overt Rebel everywhere else anyway...

I'm starting to see where folks are having issues and I am surprised by it... I get tells all the time about lending assistance in their missions or about what tactics worked best. I also realise too that its not about having the best equipment or fast manuverable ship either... its about knowing how to "get by" that one step...

I believe PvP should return to Kessel too. My belief has always been for the Pilot tree is that it remain all PvE, so I guess we do see it the same.
