Imperials-Lamba Shuttle,Imeprial transport ships

Good idea,

I expect we'd need well protected ships (or invunerable like the Sorosub reward) to make it viable and avoid just becoming good loot targets!

I sort of do this at the moment, I use my Sorosub asa house and hop from planet to planet harvesting resources, crafting in space, and landto either top up vendors or check my factory.

Another idea kicking around is the ability for merchants / traders to land in the 'cannot build here' zones around cities and become part of the scenery for a fixed period of time (like a camp), so that ground players can come onboard for goods (vendors) and services. Perhaps it could work like placing a structure with the overhead map.

This will make the ground based merchant a bit more involved than 'place structure, create vendor' as it currently is and may lessen the number of empty vendor only houses littering the landscape.

Trading and space mining could be nice.

Current SWG economy does not support this. Cargo is moved easily between planets and players, and there is no supply in, for example, one space quadrant, and demand in another. To be done properly (and it could be done in a very interesting manner) it would have to be be a part of a greater revamp including an overhaul of transport shuttles, inventory system, the bazaar terminals, Smugglers and smuggling, starport security checks and a whole lot of other things that will, unfortunately, not happen anytime soon.

Nomad traiders, could be cool, and make the Merchant players be more interactive with the Vendors, and smuggle goods
