I've noticed a discoloration on my mouse on the index finger button that I thought was just dirt. After trying to clean it I realized i'd been pressing it so much the paint was wearing off.

Is it possible to have a Toggle switch for firing weapons? I hate having to hold down my mouse button to fire blasters and would like to just press it once to start firing, once to stop firing.

Mabye I can get windows to do it but is there anyway the game can have this feature added?

You can route buttons however you like in SWG. I would reccomend a flight stick though. It makes things much better.

You set the fire button to be a toggle instead of a trigger?

IE toggle you press once and release to turn on, once and release to turn off, trigger is press and hold to turn on, release to turn off.

ive been playing first person shooters, run and guns and twich games for years on the same mouse and never had this problem lol. Mine is finaly starting to ware out but it still looks new.

As for a flight stick i find mine all but impossable to use. No matter howI set the sencitivity i have control lag. Ive found that with a track ball mouse i can fly circles around most people with flightsticks. (And before you say i need a better one i have a high end flight stick not a blue-light special and it works perfectly in all the other games i use it in)

Anyway id recomend a can of spray paint. Use some cotten to keep it from getting inside the slots, give it a hour to dry and wear it off again.

Consider that with your proposal it would take to clicks to do the same thing thus wearing it out twice as fast (once to start shooting and again to stop) unless that is your like my brother, a click-a-hallic. Click and hold bro, your guns keep fireing. He just doesnt get it.

Hope something in there helps

Auto run is a toggle option. You can hold down the forward button to make your character run or you can use the mouse 3 button/numlock to make him run...so what is so bad about adding that for a fire button in space?

Nothing stop me from holding down the run key but I would hate to have to hold it down instead of just using the toggle run option...
