So you wanna be a pilot, eh? You’ll need to make some decisions. First, under whose banner will you fly under? Imperial, Rebel, or would you like to pursue your own interests? Maybe make a little money under the table; it’s your choice. Well, after that, you’ve got even more choices!
As an Imperial, maybe you’d like to serve with the Storm Squadron in the Tatooine system. You might want to see the sights, and head to Naboo, while defending the Empire and everything it stands for with the Imperial Inquisition. Or you could fight on the front lines out by Talus with Black Epsilon.
As a Privateer, you might wanna fight for the Smuggler Alliance. You could fight with the Royal Security Forces on Naboo. Or you could fight for the defense of Corellia with the Corsec forces.
Now, let’s not forget the rebels! If you’re rather fond of Corellia, you could fight with the Havoc Squadron out of Tyrena. Like Moenia or just the entire planet of Naboo? It’s beautiful, you can be sure of that! Sounds like the Vortex Squadron may be for you. Or if you like the desert sands, head to Mos Espa, Tatooine to fly with the Crimson Phoenix Squadron!
Choices, choices! Well, no matter whom you choose to fly with, you’ll need to learn how to fly! Once you sign up with a recruiter for any of the squadrons I’ve listed up there, you can be sure they’ll give you a ship. Pilots aren’t much good without a ship, are they? That thing might look rusty, but it’ll do for now. You’ve gotten a mission from your trainer, right? Before you do any real battle, I’m sure they’ll send you on a tour of your area first. If you find yourself in trouble, use your ship! Experience can only help.
Well, if you’ve been attacked, and you probably have, after you’re finished, head back to your trainer and get another assignment, which is probably one of two. Either you’ve been assigned to clean an area from your enemies, or to escort a supply ship through the galaxy to safety. If you’re being out to destroy some other pilots, well you know what to do! If you’re required to escort supplies, here’s what you’ll need to do. You’ll be sent to meet up with the ship, and you’ll be escorting it through a sector. All you need to do is stay close, and you’ll just be doing some cleanup. Watch your enemies, and make sure they don’t get the supplies! After the ship’s safely out of your sector, I’m sure it’ll need some more help elsewhere, but that’s up to someone else.
As for you, just follow your trainer’s instructions. It’ll be a hard journey advancing up the ranks, protecting cargo that’s extremely wanted by other parties, and destroying larger and more powerful ships, but it has its benefits. As you advance and complete your assignments, you’ll have new parts to upgrade your ship, be taught new maneuvers and skills by your instructor, and maybe you’ll even be handed the keys to a brand new ship! If you hang on long enough, you might even find yourself in command of a large gunship! Just stick to your dreams, and you’ll arrive there soon.
Good luck, pilot!

Someone do it for me. I suck at paragraphs, or it'd already be in them.

Disclaimer: this is not gramatically correct, but at least easier to read.

I'm a half-naked man with a purple afro. Fear me.
Oh yeah, Unuca Cose on Ahazi just happens to be me too! What a strange coincidence!

Reposted from the Pilot forum. Thought this would be a better place, because it's a general insight on the expansion. Any suggestions?

This works out in the bennfit of those who are in imperial pilot PA's. RSF is a very good opportunity to fly something new, and still maintain your faction affiliation in space and not have any conflicting intrests. Infact, its to the bennfit of said PA to have a couple RSF privateers in their ranks.
