Ok we can have Shuttle ports in player citys i think it would be cool if at the shuttle port level you can also place a Landing port for player ships to land at it could cost money to land at just like the fee on the shuttle ports

Imagine landing at a player city landing pad and then having the mayor remove the landing pad.

That'd suck.

How about having a landing pad as an addition to a player house? It would not add to the lot penalty as it would be part of the existing house. Might add a grapic to the exterior of the existiing house showing this addition. What do you think?

Someone had an idea about this... since the "roof" on the PA halls have large open unused spaces.. why not throw in a landing pad and make it a starport..

That would be awesome.. plus imagine you could see the last ship that landed standing there... /dream

I do wish you could manage your ship at home. It's a pain because I have a house full of starship loot and when trying to put a ship together from it I have to run back and forth to the nearest starport.

I really do NOt want to see the NPC cities dry up because some are too lazy and impatient to wait 4 minutes for a shuttle to a real starport. Adding player city starports is a total waste of dev effort imho.

Then how about only limiting the player-starports to metropolis size cities? That cuts down that speciality to less than half of the cities out there.

BTW, I'm making this comment even though Dohrian, my home city is not a metropolis itself. Hope this helps in the fairness to my proposition.

One can only hope that Strategic Bases (whenever the Devs get around to god damn releasing them) have at least a one-way starship terminal.

One of my ideas is to make ship's like camps, you can land oh say 500m outside the city. A pilot may not land near another structure, or creature dwelling. Maybe make it tier 4, or even master to have the skill to land on a planet. I'm sure yall get the idea.

in my opinion, it would be kinda cool, but would cause more damage then good to the game.

I would like to see the rules for landing a ship be the same as placing a house. It takes one lot, you can't do it at all in NPC cities (use the starport), and you can only do it in PC cities with the mayor's permission. Once placed, the ship becomes part of the scenery even when you're logged out.

The devs would need to add takeoff/landing animations from both sides (ground & space), plus add landed ship art to the ground game. But essentially a ship in the ground game is just a house that can take off. I think it's fair to limit landing abilities to the Sorosuub Yacht and YT1300, which you can already enter.

Hi,

i thought about the Starport-in-Play-Citys-Problem. As the DEVs mentioned, there will be no regular Starports in Player-Citys.

But what about a Landing-Pad, where only City-Inhabitants can start/land?

Maybe only restricted to Lev 4 and 5 Cities.

What do you mean?
