Thread: Little Response? I disagree.
I am seeing enough negative posts about the Y-8. Having read through the posts I am a little bit clearer on how to actually get this ship to mine at minimal efficiency. But alot of the tips provided were sketchy or context specific. Perhaps we can take a look at the bright side and talk a bit about how to improve our mining abilities with it. Let's see if we can get the following information from successful Y-8 miners:
Pre-flight-
Weapon slots; which gun is operated by which crew position?
What is recommended to be put in each slot?
What errors can we expect loading certain weapons in certain positions?
In-flight-
Any bugs we may encounter with the mining process, and the correct work arounds for these bugs stated clearly.
What should a pilot teach a crew about their roles if it is just pick up gunners?
How should a pilot operate and steer the craft for optimum efficiency?
Any other tips you can recommend.
Perhaps one person can post a beginning to end guide, but I won't get my hopes up. Even a patchwork of small answers would be a step up from the smattering across the forums.

personly they all bluff.
I suggest to use Y-8 mining laser for pilot, Y-8 mining laser for the upper turret, and Y-8 mining laser or an Y-8 tractor beamfor the lower turret.
With that configuration, you can full up a 5000 unit small Y-8 cargo hold in a quarter of hour approximativly (with the lower turret tractor beam equiped).
Each of those lasers makes dammages as blasters do (so you can use them in space fight for defensive fight).
I recommend to use heavy shields, and heay reactor (POB ship generators only), or POB Components only (as i don't remember if there's other specific components in use for Y-8 only).
