I heard only veteran players will get it. Well I played since August.. So is it sure I will get it? Or do I just have a chance to get it?

You didn't get the memo, I'll make sure you get another copy of the memo.

If you don't know where this quote is from you don't get in beta.

Hey, I heard you were having some problems with your TPS reports. What's up with that?

It think you'll se it being similar to the original beta...I see it going this way:

Fan fest members are already getting an invite.

Then there will be an open application process, where everyone who wants in applies.

The devs will then select certain people, veterans, test center players, other special people.

Then the devs will select random testers from the applications, looking for diversity of CPU set ups and

things of that such.

The dates will prob be announced next month, with beta starting somewhere between August and September. "First Shuttle" will be very limited, maybe even select players and vets not just fan fest attendees. I don't know if they promised FF attendees to be in beta 1 or not. Could be similar to the Golden ticket contest where they were guaranteed beta but not necessarily Beta 1.

"Lots and lots of people checking it out" is the primary kind of testing that needs to get done. Borked quests, bad items, etc. should all be fixed in-house, and the "lots and lots of people" test is where you find out about server stress, lag, and exploits/griefing opportunities that you're not going to find out about in a small, elite group. If I buy JTL and everything works great except that ships are warping all over the place I'm going to be an unhappy camper.

NikkiDial has it correct. The Master box improves slicing, but the tool quality and other things do not.

From what I have gathered there is no guarantee you will be invited to theBeta even if you are a veteran. Being a veteran I thinkmay help some though and increase your chances.

The only guarantee is if you attended Fan Fest which I did not not.Still though I'll apply for beta when given the chance just like everyone else.
