Thread: The Yacht has secret weapons?

I was just piloting my Yacht and I saw that it has a capacitator. I tried to add some weapons onto it but it says that you can not upgrade the yacht. So, why is there a capacitator? Does it have secret weapons somewhere? I'm open for all ideas. Even the most unlikely. Anything would be helpful.

ummm, no the only "weapon" it has is you, maybe the capacitor is there so you can hook up your cdef pistol to it and shoot at the jedi interceptor that is vaping you. on a side thought, is it possible to take the yacht into deepspace?

Good idea with the CDEF pistol, but most of the players shields can withstand it. A Carbine on the other hand....
As for Deep Space, I'm pretty sure you could, but seeing as you can't shoot anything and the engine can't outrun anyone, you would have to rename the place "Death Trap" or "Suicide Space" to be appropriate.

No you cant take the yacht into deep space, its a pvp zone and your in a non-combat ship. if you talk to the deep space station they will tell you to come back with a prober ship.

Yeah, I tried to express sarcasism in my post. Sorry about that. But, it should at least have SOME sort of upgradable shield/weapon slot for protection. Those pirates get really annoying sometimes. I am still up for reasons why the ship has a capacitator though. I'm going to be awake all night thinking about it....

The guy who created the art for the yacht happens to be a Smuggler and posted in our forum briefly.
When the Yacht was on the design table, he implemented the "ability" for it to have weapons. You will notice that there is a "well" in the fore section..that was for the gun. However due to fact it was a party barge, a reward, and the dev's in general it was not permited to have weapons. I'd find the link to the post for you but the search function is not working.

No, it is for the people to need to leave the ship without having everyone to land to let them off. (But I have left those dull parties through the pod)
