Thread: JTL Request to Tiggs, Thunderheart
- I encounter a rebel player pilot maybe twice a week if i'm lucky on an average of 3 hours a day in deep space.
- Most of the time when I ask for crew to man a decimator I never get more then 2 or 3 people total from multiple guilds, one exception being the y-8 modifications and mining for new elite components.
- Space is the exact same thing as it has always been and is never changing. This causes nothing but a repeat of everything done yesterday, and they day before, and weeks and weeks before as it goes.
- The rebel Space station in deep space is and has been bugged since rotw release, so even if we wanted to blow it up we can't, and even if we wanted to get the best loot it takes us considerably longer because of this bug(or so i'm told that if the space station blows up, rebel npcs have higher drop rate then imperial and visa versa for the ISD getting blown, which right now can be done in a rebel tier 1 skill, while drunk, flying backwards....)
- The only chance we have of forming our own content, and creating our player events are not possible because the csrs, and event coordinators don't have any tools to use in order to create a player event in space.
Solution, and formal request from a long time veteran swg player. Please consider it in your next meeting that might touch near jtl subject on fixing the deep space station, please please please consider the idea of creating the necessary tools so that players can plan, create, and with some dev or csr help, produce some in-space player events that can produce some dynamic, forever changing, exciting events in space to bring players back into jtl instead of just getting it so you can insta-transfer from starport to starport. Or at the very least, create jtl events similar to the ones on the ground where the heros of the galactic civil war land in various starports with npcs, make various transports of high end officials require escort through systems, maybe have a droid ship invasion of naboo with various naboo police pilots defending the space station, do these types of events around various systems at various times and make sure to spam a system message to that corresponding planet as it effects the entire planet. These types of things will help bring life back into jtl a critical expansion in the enjoyment of swg. If you players can agree to this which i can't see how you coudn't maybe lets /sign this if you agree and lets revive this expansion!
Oh and on the note of dynamic missions and content, theres tons of wasted space in kessel, tons of space in deep space, theres also areas of various systems i know fr a fact theres never any quests at, theres places I go to in space when I go to go afk where nothing happens, places inside asteroid belts, nebulas, even corners of the sector where I just park for the scenery, lots of room that comes there... Just my two cents from the guy who wrote the guide on multi person ships and how to enjoy them in jtl!

BY ORDER OF THE EMPIRE MAKE IT SO!

Actually, I do strongly disagree. Starsider has a huge Rebel presence in Deep Space and it's rare that I see an Imperial Pilot, and if I do it's usually a good fight.
And as for no events in space, again...Starsider used to have a weekly event that had a nice story arc and was entirely player driven and was entirely PvP. We only used the stuff that was currently in space which required scouting ahead of time and a little bit of planning. So, quit complaining, try and organize a player ran PvP event or even duel nights. Quit blaming the CSRs. Yes, space gets the shaft and it sucks that we can't have sexy player events like the ground, but we can pick up the slack where the Devs and the CSRs are leaving off.
I'm gonna have to go ahead and agree with the original poster! Great ideas! Would be nice to see 'em

I know JtL is just an expansion and that doesn't justify the attention that it deserves, but I and a fair few other gamers enjoy it more than the ground game. It is the only thing keeping me playing SWG now and it deserves more attention than it has gotten in the past or present.
Yep.

I know that JtL is technically an expansion, but the devs always spoke of it as being the 'completion' of the core game they always wanted to create. It was only released as an expansion due to time and development constraints. In my mind, JtL is part of the core game and space deserves just as much attention as the ground game. Its not the only thing keeping me playing this game now, but without it I would have definitely stopped long ago.

Thats great for starsider, what about every other server?, and i'm not blaiming the csrs, no one is, csr's even had a chat with me about how there wish there was tools for jtl space sectors, i'm just voicing my opinion...combined with others...
