I don't know if anyone else has noticed this, but since the last publish, enemy reactors seem to have been broken. Before the publish, when you destroyed an enemy reactor the craft would stop and it could no longer fire its weapons (because the ship had no energy now). But now, after the publish, when you take out the reactor the ship stops but it can still fire at you.
Just last night a group and I took out the reactor on a Decimator. Even the engine was gone. Yet it was still able to fire. Took me a moment until I figured out where the shots where coming from. And the day before that I took out the reactor on some Blacklight Pirates. But when they where all disabled I as still taking damage. When I turned around I saw them still shooting at me... though they had no reactors at all.
Dunno if anyone else has noticed. But it does look like it's broken... or something...

For turreted ennemies, with their reactor gone they will keep shooting until they have no more energy in their capacitator. Always has been like this.
Now, for those Blacksun, I have no idea.

Yeah, I wasn't sure about the turrets.

Not really a bug, per se, just the massive window of stat ranges some particular reactors have. A couple will go anywhere from 0 to 50k energy generation.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that's the case.
As for useful, only if it also has a Low Mass. Other wise it's filler and/or dealer material.

Wow, that's weird. I mean why would they let there be a 0 generation at all. Oh well, thanks. I know I can use it as extra filling
