With that many slots it is going to be one powerful ship. Even the pilot will have his own gun. This may be a great ship for taking out the Corvette.

maybe4 mineing lasers and a trackor beamwill make the mineing ship alittle less useless AS a mineing ship heh

Doesn't the loot just go into the pilots inventory (like in a fighter)?

No it wont be a good combat ship... It still has the blind backside!
There are no guns that can fire to the rear of the ship, and that makes it very easy for someone else to just get behind it in his faster fighter and blow the hell out of the Y-8.
And that is also why an escort could be useful while mining.

Still this ship will be nice when doing tough missions lets say teir 4 missions with Friends. A whole guild can load up in this ship and make it function nicely...

But this ship needs to be runned by lots of people. Adding two more turrets dosent change the fact that this ship will still have its short commings. Still for those that are die hard fans of the Y-8, its defintaly a plus to them.

Id still like to see a foward gun on our YT class series...

A little yep but still not as good as any two weapon slot fighter
