Thread: What do you use your MP Ship for?

All,

Let me start off by saying I LOVE my Nova. I've got it all decked out with some very nice components too. The only problem is, I never use it. If I do, I use it to "travel" a group from one starport to another.

What are some uses for this beautiful starship that I might be missing? I would love to be able to recruit a crew in Mos Eisley then go for an adventure in my Nova. Any ideas?

I, uh.. use my Nova to reduce my permanent open ship slot count by 1. Its really good at that too!

In the Decimator I have a room with a table and chairs for meetings (never had one yet-- someday when ships are able to dock etc) and in the back I have a bed and some chairs looking out that window in to space. Love it.

Also, it's a great place to have your really nice loot displayed (holograms etc). If someone wants to see the loot, group up and launch for a bit. While they're there, they almost always want to hop in the turret and fire the elite cannons. I much prefer it over the Yacht for this feature-- after you've looked at the objects and had your meeting or whatever, visitors can blow stuff up :-)

What I *DON'T* use it for is what it should be used for-- crew-based missions that are virtually impossible in singleplayerships. So far there's no NPC mission I can't do better in my Tie Oppressor <sigh>.

storeage and flying house.

I also take it up once in a while and park it at a static spawn point for tier 1-2 ships and man a gun to blast them as they attack my ship till I get my Loot hold full, then I sit down and RE parts looking for firespray disk

wash, rinse and repeat.

I've also been known to do that. But my luck with disks in space has been very, very bad, so I've taken to landing and doing the REing on the ground, then going back up for more.

The way I see it, POB ships should be very difficultto acquire. Since they aren't, every person eventually reaches ACE and winds upwith their own POB ship sitting in their datapad. This then negates the need to travel in anyone else's ship and makes finding a crew for your own rather cumbersome.

Lord only knows how they plan to overcome this problemwith capital ships. My hope is that individual players will not be allowed to own Capital Ships but a group can temporarily acquire one as part of a repeatable quest.
