I've been doing Missions on Talus Imp Outpost, and got 1111, got enough exp to train a tier 2 box but she (the trainer) won't train me, the only options i've got are duty missions or something like "i want to leave"
well i left, and she told me to see some Prisk Kish'Vyk who should be near somewhere apparently, but he's not.

so where do i go next?

Canceled until Loot Drops , especially Crystals and Pearls , are fixed

Okay. See the Zabrak woman wearing a small car for armor? Good. Turn 90 degress to your left. See the little Bothan fellow with the scowl on his face? That's Prisk. That's who you talk to.

If he was a snake he would have bit you. LOL! After Prisk they send you to some jerk on Yavin IV who makes it his personal quest to try to get you killed. Be sure to have some talented pilot buddies to fly with you by then.

Although you may just want to start over. Seriously. By the time you finish with the first trainer you should be halfway through the second Tier of training. The thing to remember is not to go in for training until you have maxed your experience points. That way, when you are offered training, you can fill two or even three skill boxes at a time. By the time you talk to Prisk you should be flying a TIE/In. If you're not, you'll really wish you were when he sends you to take out that YT-1300 with the twin turrets that never miss.

Yeah, I tried neutral pilot. I dropped it and went back to the Navy because it was too easy. The difficulty for missions is, to no surprise:

Rebel - So easy a six year old could hit Master in three days. Look, my Tier 1 Y-Wing has 2 gun mounts and 90,000kg of mass! And my opponents have no shields!

Neutral -A more moderate challenge, for the more serious pilot. Look, my Tier 1 Dunelizard has 2 gun mounts and 80,000kg of mass! Rebels and Imperials both can only attack me if a delcare at a space station!

Imperial - Only hard core psychos and/or maschocistsneed apply. Look, my Tier 3 Interceptor has 1 gun mount and 50,000kg of mass! Every rebel, merc and pirate in the galaxy is gunning for me!

First off, where to go for your next trainer ... look HERE.

As for the Tier 1 ships being so much better ... to an extent, you're right. The Y-Wing has LOTS of mass to work with. It flies like it, too, and you can't USE much of that mass while it's the only thing you can move to. The Dunelizard is much better, no real mass concerns until higher tiers. The Imps are squeezed for mass, but are quite maneuverable. Oh, and if you want, you can go looking for a Heavy TIE and not worry about mass.

Ah! I'm glad to see other people have a similar opinion of Black Epsilon.

The Yavin operations are a royal pain in the thrusters, but then most if not all of tiers 3 and 4 of the Imperial pilot profession are difficult.

Young 'uns: If you've not found one or two regular people to fly with. Go, sit down in a public space. Talk to pilots.

Veterans: Look for the little lost rookies and Help them.

Actually, it doesn't sound like you've really played any of those factions/squadrons through to master, but are bent on making assumptions.

Yes, Imperials (Storm Squadron) have it the hardest.
