Thread: Bounty Hutning in space.
For the Jedi to not be hunted in space, they get NO benefits via the Force.
This had been discussed long before JTL even came out.

Seriously tho, that would REALLY add a facet of star warsiness to the game.

Trust me man, I know where you're coming from.
There was a push by the Jedi back then to "enhance" their starfighters because of the Force. If you can imagine ground-based Jedi P3nage being added to JTL / space... the picture would look like my toilet after I was done with my Taco Bell meal.
Allowing BH to hunt Jedi in space would definitely show how connected to The Force a Jedi player really was. 
Seriously though, as nice as the idea sounds, there's no realistic way they can implement it. The ground based RPG system that grants jedi superior abilities, cannot, should not, be translated into the twitch realm of the space game, and if BH got the ability to hunt a Jedi there, the Jedi would insist on some form of compensation or "balance" that's how their mindset works.
If anything is ever done with Smuggler, I would hope and pray that it involves a robust system of space missions, actual smuggling, and the potential for BH visibility. I could get excited about a galaxy where Jedi are hunted on the ground, and errant Smugglers are hunted in space.
