I have been testing the new ranges on capitol ships. They not only fire farther but way to far. You no longer can out run the fire from a capitol ship if it stays firing on you. Seems they can fire up to 1000m meters now.

Yeah? And? Your lucky they can't start firing from a heck of alot further away, those are BIG GUNS.

sounds about right, They just eed to change the Ai to about a 60% hit chance from the current 100%.. I mean the size of the guns on the vette that thing should have a range of several Thousand KMs..

The bigger the gun, the harder it will be to aim. Especially at something small and fast. The punch they pack and the new additional range represent too much of an advantage at their current 100% hit potential.

Yup the damage and range are not the problem.. It is the chance to hit that is the problem...(also the easiest to recode you would think)

Stiill, the things were being soloed. That was a big no-no as well.

Hey, those bigguns you're talking about are supposed to be used incapital ship vs capital ship combat only. The AA gun turrets should not have that kinda range.

Why not? They can get the power. Plus you always _can_ try to swat a fly with a 100 pound sledgehammer... and one hit is almost guarenteed to be what's needed if it connects....

How do you take out capital ships in JtL? Are there proton torpedos that can be fired from 2km away?

I haven't personally. I have heard of a b-wing managing the ISD however. I know 3 or 4 took out the rebel station. I've SEEN corvettes go down to 1 player (still not sure how they manage it but it was definately 1).

I believe in real Star Wars universe, a starfigterarmed with torpedoscan take out a corvette orany other capital ship (maybe notISDs)from afar with impunity, unless those captial ships have escorts.

Play XVT or XWA, Heavy Rockets and Space Bombs, Target the Shield Generators on an ISD (then nail the Reactor [SWG]) then smack the bridge with a few rockets, Bridges are usually the weakest armored but the shields are ment to compensate for it. The stations in here for us Imperials though, never seen them in those kinda games. But hey, this game is supposed to be "revolutionary".
