Thread: Looking for suggestions on a player run event..

Since soe won't do it it's up to us to provide the content .. wow .. they should be paying us to play...



Here's the setup:

System Endor:

Imperials start point will be Claw space station. all overt .. *all participants must be declared*

Rebels start point: yavin4 again all participants must be declared..


neutrals are going to join wich ever side they wish/can declare for.

Goal: Capture the Command ship. To capture said ship it must NOT be destroyed. both guns and engine must be disabled *note reactor disabled will not be allowed .. need to capture the crew alive and the life support systems would shutdown.


Both sides will have 1 MP ship wich will act as the command ship.... prefferably a decimator for imps and nova for rebs.. but a yt may substitute iether.. Both must be fully manned .. both must have repair kits for all components *limit 1 kit per repairable system.


The rebels are attacking from yavin4 .. they are to investigate the activities going on in endor and find out if there is a threat that spies within the empire must accquire data on. They may enter via any jump point in the Endor system. But once they jump in *all must jump in at the same time* They must stay in system. The only ship allowed to leave is the Command ship and if it does it will score as a loss for that side.

Limitations:

hard part to enforce but will make the event worthwile.

No better than Mark I weapons.. No concussion missles will be allowed *takes down shields too easly* (note may change depending on how effective only mk I weapons are) All chassis /weapons/shields allowed.

Destruction of Both Command ships will result in a draw ... Escape of either ship will result is a minor vicotry for the ohter side reguardless of casualties.

a minor vicotry can only be claimed by destroying all of the opposing forces... *this is to encourage the capture of the personnel on the MP ship*

Judges will be using the Luxury yatchs for observation and to determine a victor.


Depending on how this works it could get expanded later on into a chase ... if succesfull they escaping ship could be tracked down.. course players would be used to scout different jump points ect .. but that is maybe for another event ....


Suggestions to improve .. holes you see that ppl will use to ruin it?
