FS skills yes, jedi NO
I started out in my z-95 last week with the FS vehicle control tree unlocked but no points invested in it.
To find out one way or the otherI traded some combat xp to train the first box.
Despite what the devs may/may not have said, they have lied about so many things so many times I have no faith left in them.

This DOES indeed make a noticeable difference to how the ship handles while turning.
PS: to the haters, as the original thread stated the question was do FS skills have an affect, not are full blown jedi invulnerable space-pvp gods. Anyone can train a little into this branch with almost no effort involved.
Not all jedi have the tree either, my jedi character doesn't. It was on my main that originally unlocked that i trained this first Vehicle Box.
If you wan't jedi it takes a huge amount of work.
To unlock 1 branch in FS skills and train 1box to test for yourself, would take a couple days effort maximum (phase dependant).

Hmm, the forums have never done that to me before. Is this new content?
This was meant to be a reply to a post asking about FS vehicle skills affecting space.

Well it kinda is in the good boards aswell. I've also heard that FS Luck might enhance your loot in space aswell, haven't tested it.

And...and,,, there is a food you can eat, I forgot what it is, that gives ya an additional 4 or 5% xp per kill, this also works in space.

It boils down to this question: Will the jedi community accept any explanation that there is a difference between the two? Or will they sugar-coat it, and use it as an argument?
Before you flame, read what I said again: "jedi community". I know some jedi that do see a difference. However, the few are quieted by the majority.

After the loot revamp, yes, it will. It is not in effect at this time.
