Thread: Question about the veteran reward yacht

I just picked up JTL, and have a question about that yacht. I haven't been playing long enough yet to get it, but almost have. When I've been around for the 6 month period, will I then get one? Or is it a one time thing that only people who had been around for 6 months when they released it got? If I can get one when I've been here long enough, what do I have to do to get mine?

Thanks for any info.

As soon as you get to 6 months you will be able to /claimveteranreward.

There is a command /getvet

this tells you the number of days you have registered on that account - once it hits 180 you should be able to claim the reward, you should get a system message when you login, and the /claimvet command brings up the ui box to choose the reward (no other rewards progammed in yet, but some day we are expecting other veteran rewards).

A couple of quick points:

1) The ship, like other POB (multiplayer walk around inships) takes 1 lot and can hold 75 items.

2)The deed will remain in your inventory when you create the ship (unlike other ships where the deed is destroyed). DO NOT DELETE IT! You cannot get a second copy of the deed and cannot re-deed the ship - if you want to free the lot you have to destroy the yacht and then later use the deed again to make a new one. I recommend storing the deed in your safety deposit box.

You'll find the yacht is pretty slow, but a fun ship to have. Mine is currently fitted out with a dejarik chess set on the main deck, tho no one wants to play against my wookiee

I tried claiming the yacht with a character and nothing happened when I typed /claim veteranreward

My other two characters have their yachts shame my master musician can't seem to get his?? I thought they may have stopped giving them out.

I placed my deed in my safety deposit box, redeeded the yacht and destroyed it. My deed was still sitting in my Box. So I think it's safe to do.
