Funny thing. After reading on how many people need groups to finish their tier 3 or tier 4 missions I decieded to help out and act as a free wingman.
So I stood outside the Yavin Labour Outpostandthe Science Outpost on Dathomirlanding pads and offered my service: "Rebel tier 3 wingman looking for work" or "Do you need a wingman?"
Nobody needed a wingman. I tired for 2 days to help and nobody wanted any help. Now I am fed up wasting my time. And what's more it seems that people prefer to fly alone. Grouping may be aprerequisite for the higher tiersbut nobody wants to group. ITRIEDFOR 2 DAYS!!!
If anybody ever needs any help on Gorath send me a tell ingame. I am a 3-4-3-3 rebel. Maybe I can help you. But I will never again stand around by the spaceport trying to help strangers.

the teir 3 reb missions were breeze got a freind to come up on 2 of the missions and it was basicaly as there was nothing to do cause of the pair of us picking off any targets before they could react the 2 missions i done on my own were easy and you would have no need for a group unless you havnt got the hang of the controlles.

It may not be needed but it sure is fun flying in a group. To me its the only way to fly.

duo'ing is fun and all but as an ace i find it much more fun to hit kessel and deep space and attempt to and sometimes even successfully solo the corvettes while fending off the escorts and gunboats. since dying in deep space is a free ticket to full repairs and a trip back to the endor space port, it is fun stuff. otherwise i only group to help others finish their missions quickly, and since no one likes to do group pvp anymore soloing is sufficient for that too.

Flying with a wingman really gives you that "I'm part of something much bigger than myself" feeling. Its no longer just you whose life is on the line, your wingman is depending on your to help him out if he gets in trouble. Now if you wanna brag about how you soloed a corvette or something then I say more power to ya, I'm sure you worked your ass off to get to that point. But for me, grouping is mandatory. Theres no other way to fly...
