I was wondering if we were ever going to get droid star fighters? I mean that would be cool if you had some help with those hard missions no one can solo.Of course not super strong but you could control stronger and stronger ones while you went up the skill tree however of course make a cap on how strong theycan get so you don't have everyone using their droids to wip up on you. They should be use as a support craft not the main ship attack craft. Or maybe just a pilot droid that you could stick in any of your ships. That would give building droids another thing to make that would be useful.

Astromech droids as wingmen?

Hmm. I dunno. There's two problems with it; one, the developers are firmly locked on to the idea of "player groups to complete hard missions."

The second problem is a background one: due to the Clone Wars, there's a deep distrust of autonomous combat droids.

It would be nice to be able to pull out a faction pet trooper and have him fly one of your ships, or have a "generic" version of the ship you're flying, and you could fly missions together when you're overt.

Maybe it'll happen. Probably won't.
