in all of space only deep space has no decay
i'd like to pay insurance to the space station in the sector i am in so that my ship does not decay
it doesn't seem fair that we have to deal with space decay and not be able to do anything about it, though i can understand that shipwrights need busniness with us buying their parts etc.

Why should you get insurance its already hard enough for Shipwrights to make a living how about you start piloting better and not blow up a ship if not go buy a new one. Pilots are rich and they already get enough of a break with prices.

Pilots? Rich? Nah. I currently have 6k and a dumpy Y-Wing. Which I had to buy off the bazzar. Hard to be rich in a space bus you paid 21k for (including the blueprints to deed). The most I ever had was Christmas '04 ('03?) from the holocron giveaway. Don't say pilots are rich, most aren't.

Great idea! But if insurance were added there will always be those who dont like it. So heres a way around. Make only REed parts insureable. That way we still have to buy chassis and components from SWs, but the RE parts we spend forever collecting can be insured. Everyone is Happy!!

Great title. I like the idea of insuring items, but have the insurance reduce the decay, not eliminate it.

As a pilot I can make 400-600K a day, its quite easy.. and thats just shooting down T4 Ties, and every other pilot I know has money.

besides the money factor, ship parts and chassis' aren't exactly expendible
somewhat- but i'd like to keep my x-wing and its components in it's prime condition as long as i can
so i think it's fair to say ship insurance is something worth having
