I'm not sure if other people are aware of this problem, as it seems to be a problem that may or may not be specific to the European servers. I wanted to find out if it really was just us, so I thought this would be the best place for a sort-of poll.
This is what's happening: when launching into space, travelling, landing from space, or hyperspacing there is quite often a delay before the game loads the new loaction. The delay can be any length of time, some people reporting as much as a 30 minute wait!
Here's an example: You're in Theed spaceport, go to a terminal, select your ship, click travel, select Mos Eisley, OK. The menu disappears, and you're left looking at the terminal. Click the terminal again, and the ship you just tried to travel in is now in Mos Eisley and you're still in Theed. You can walk around, chat to people, browse the bazaar, then X minutes later you can no longer interact, as if you've lost the connection. X minutes after this the loading screen appears and you're finally in Mos Eisley!
This happens when launching into space, landing, and also hyperspacing. When it lags when you try to hyperspace, you get the rotating starfield for a minute or so and then your ship reappears. Try hyperspacing again and it happens again. Then the loading screen will appear after a random amount of time, and when you get to the new system it'll immediatley hyperspace again (it must queue the hyperspace requests)
The problem has only existed since publish 13.0, and it feels like no-one's taking any notice of this really infuriating bug. I suspect it's because the US servers are apparently unaffected, despite having heavier loads. So who does get this problem? Is it really just us?
I'm particularly interested to hear from non-UK europeans who connect to the euro servers, as I've heard that the lag problems are actually specific to the UK, which is really worrying!
edit: Looks like the problem may be even more specific and is only affecting Farstar.
I posted this in the pilot profession forum too, but I realised afterwards that this is probably a better place to ask. Please don't hate me, mods!

We seem to be ok on chimaera travelling wise as i haven't had this happen to meand i'm from the UK so wonder if it's only certain euro servers that is affecting at present.

I'm on Euro-Chimaera, and live in N. Ireland. Can't say this has ever happened to me, in fact I think my loading times have actually gotten better since 13.0. I've never heard of this bug, do you know of other players who have had this happen to them too?

I've been neglecting my Chimaera character, so my experience is from Farstar. I thought I'd read that it affected Chimarea too, but maybe I'm wrong and it's just Farstar having problems.

I've heard of several people having this problem on Farstar but I myself haven't experienced it yet. A friend said he had to wait 5 minutes before following his ship to his destination.

I've noticed this on FarStar too. Usually the lag is only about 2 minutes but it's quite frequent. I was connecting from the UK.

I'm having the same problem on Farstar too. The problem has been around for some people for over a week, before the last publish anyway.

ive never had this problem with travelling or launching into space. Its either one of two things tho. Either you need an upgrade in RAM or Video card or your server needs some major work done to it.

It's not PC specs, as it's not a graphical lag and it's not just me who's experiencing the problem. There are people with decent broadband connections getting the problem, people with uber computers getting the problem, people with dialup and a crummy computer getting the problem.. It's more about obtaining connections... I think someone's forgotten to feed the hamster that keeps Farstar going.
For the record, my PC is an AMD Athlon 64 3200, 1gb RAM, and an ATI Radeon 9600/256mb graphics card.

Or they retired our old one to run your server instead
