All right... this has been talked about numerous times... so once more in to the mix...
STAR RAVAGER CORVETTE:
For those waiting on this "God-forsaken" vessel what are the expectations for respawn? I've heard 1 - 5 hours. The last 3 times I've been up against it it has been 1 hr 10, 1 hr 25 and 2 hours...
But last night we sat out there in Kettemoor for 3.5hours and apparently another group had been tracking it for 2 hours previously and jack squat showed up. Someone broke off and followed the flight path of the Corvette and identified 2 Gunboats stacked on top of each other at the despawn point. Knowing about the possible bug where lingering Gunboats could halt the Corvette spawn we dispatched them and waited again at 1500mn from 8000 8000 7000... 1 hour... nothing... by this time everybody hadto log to catch some sleep... mission scrubbed.
For anyone else on the various servers what are you most recent experiences with the respawn of the Star Ravager Corvette? Is it 1 - 2 hours? 1- 5 hours? Need to dispatch lingering gunboats and then 2 hours? I just want to get a "guestimate" for time. We had a fair number of people ready to pounce when it came in and of that number 90% were still in need of grinding through Tier 4 so they were doing this all on their own time in order to assist. It makes it very difficult to organize a raiding party when the "window-of-opportunity" is so spread out and possibly effected by bug elements (Lingering Gunboats). I feel extremely "guilty" for putting out a "call-to-arms" only to have our group of 12-15 sit idly twiddling our thumbs and "text-singing" 12,456 bottles of beer on the wall for 3 and a half hours.
To all those who waited in Kettemoor last night... thank you for your patience and understanding. If possible I wouldn't mind a Correspondents or Developers opinion on the matter. If the Gunboat issue is a "recognized bug" then at least it should be spelt out directly. If it already has been then my apologies... I couldn't find any references when I conducted a search based on Gunboat and Corvette. I've happened upon a thread which indicated that the recent Daily Maintenance changes (ie. Servers not being reset daily) has lead to some problems with clearing despawns locations in order to allow for a new clean respawn. Can I get a comment on this as well to please?

absolutly the same thing... the spawn timer is 1:30 from what i saw and heared... and once you blow up the gunboats at the end of the flight path the timer runs again for the corvette and it spawns 60-90 mins later. The Gunboats seem bugged and just dont despawn if they havent been destroyed by the laste vette team.

When a fleet of us killed it the other night, we waited 2.5 hours for it to drop on the spawn point, of course not sure what happened to the last corvette spawn. So it might of been 1.5 hours since that one left.

Is it my imagination or is periodic spawns one of the big COMPLAINTS of previous MMOs, like EverQuest, for example?
Surely the Developers at SOE are paid enough to come up with something better than wasting my time flying around in the so-called "contested" (which is nearly empty) region of space trivially blasting the worthless Tier 5 AIs targets. I promptly logged out at that point, fearing my brain would explode from the sheer inanity of it all.
Good god, I actually had a bit of fun up working up through the pilot tree, until then.
Crushed.

I can't agree with you guys more. I play on the Kauri server.
I went to the trouble of assembling peeps from all over the galaxy.
We were pumped up.
We were ready to kick some Corvette tail.
3.5 hours later we all logged, extremely annoyed.
C'mon developers. Helps us out on this one. Please!

First thing I do when I go to Kessel is go to both Corvettes' hyperspace points and destroy anything sitting on them.
That's a DEFINATE thing, too, not a "could" block the spawn, but a "WILL" block the spawn, and the timer starts once every ship in the corvette group is destroyed.
Anyone that wants to prevent a block, "destroy everything in the corvette group", otherwise, if you just destroy the corvette, you're ensuring a spawn block of that faction's corvette. This even includes a lone fighter, let alone the gunboats. I've seen a single aggressor sitting on the jump point blocking the spawn.
This bug is completely avoidable if pilots aren't lazy with the previous corvette's group, or if you have a pilot that is extra efficient(either in killing the corvette, or clearing the jump point of the last group).
