I've been playing JTL for awhile now, and never had a problem other than a little lag here and there. But the past 3 times I've been up in space my ship has been unflyable. Everything is so jumpy, it looks like it is more than just lag this time, and I'm not sure how to fix it.
I've been to my options and turned nebulas down and all of that, even been to the options on the launch pad, and changed level of detail and stuff. Although I'm not real sure what all of the options do. But I've tried turning them on and off and nothing seemed to reallly help.
Anyone one have any idea what I can do fix this? Is anyone else having these problems?
And as a note when I'm on the ground everything is smooth and working just fine.

I had this exact same problem. It happened after I had been very active in installing programs. The fix was a rollback. I restored the system to a time when JTL was working properly. Then all was good. Just keep in mind a rollback may break things you installed after the rollback date.

Actually the jumpy/drunken bee effect that some ppl get isnt caused by your own personal computer. Since JTL is real time based it needs a constant data flow to make everything work. Sometimes when you launch into space something doesnt load well with the client server causing jumpiness and other problems to arise. There isnt a permanent fix for this problem yet. Normally (9 times outta 10) you can just shut your system down completely and let the files get outta memory and then just reload the game and everything will work just fine, but it has nothing to do with files on your system or rollback. I own my Computer Business and i got a lot of phone calls about ppl having probs playing their games and one of them being this one in particular.

You mentioned you did some installing then this started, make sure you didn't pick up any spyware that could be hogging your bandwidth causeing the jumpy/lag effect.

I also tried the roll back, and I thought it helped but in a matter of minutes it was back to being so jumpy I couldn't control my ship.
I ran Spybot and found 8 items, which I thought was really low since I've had thiscomputer for over a year now and never checked for spyware.

And if either of you remember what you installed it might be a good idea to post it here. If there are any correlations then it might be an issue with a specific program.
