I recently made Master Pilot and got myself a Nova Courier. I haven't really gone many places with it, and I've only had one other person on board, during the initial flight. So, I have a basic question.
If I load some level 9 blasters into the turrets, can anyone use them? I'm just worried that people mayneed to have the certifications for the equipment-level of the guns, in which case I'll need to downgrade them when I have a less experienced crew. That wouldn't be too bad, just a nuisance, but I'd rather not have to swap out my blasters every time I take off.

I just got my nova too and had a crew of 5 up there. Very cool indeed.
few things about the Nova. Anyone can use the turrets reguardless of Level. Only a Master Pilot can Fly the ship.
Some other things i found were... The pilot can shoot missles but that is it you need a co-pilot to use spoof and droid commands. The ship can also be repaired while your fighting. Get come conduit repair kits and all the others, get a few buds and head out its fun fun.

Some other aspects of the Nova:
The operations chair allows for a person to run /commands and droid commands. All /commands are limited to THAT PLAYER'S skill level, but all droid commands are based on the flight computer loaded into the ship. I have manned the ops chair three times now, and I find it pretty cool.. but there are some requirements that just aren't there:
- visual feedback on the droid/computer commands: I have yet to be told of a successful command process but it will tell me of failed ones.
- The ability to call up system information (the default "v" key): Without the ability to activily monitor the ships systems.. all you do is shield adjustments (blindly) and hope everything works out in the end.
- The ability to plot hyperspace points: A pilot pilots. It is the job of the navigator to worry about maps.
