I have noticed that the more threads i read about pvp the more misconceptionsI see about declaring overt in space.
I'm seeing alot of people thinking being overt in space means they will be overt when they land. This is false. The moment you land you are set to covert. There is no hour wait or anything.
I have also seen alot of people that just do not know how to declare overt in space. You go to a faction space station. You can find them in your nav map (n key) there you will see if there is a faction station in the zone. as an example there are 2 in endor for imperials. Empire station 1 and 2. You simply fly up to the station converse with it like the landing station and say yes when it asks if you want to declare.
It's that simple to do, fly to a station to declare, land on a planet to go covert.
Let's start to see more people going overt, you get ground faction points from npc kills of the oposite faction when you are overt. Lots of them. Which you can trade in for faction perks, like a nice set of imperial furniture for your decimator when you get it.
There is no reason we shouldn't see pvp in every system all over the place. All you pvpers just start doing it. I'm out there doing my missions overt all the time and i don't see anyone else doing it.
That needs to change, everyone needs to start realising declaring overt in space is fast and easy. So if you are into pvp start doing it already.

Too bad you're on Bria 
This is a good point. PvP players are screaming about Kessel and we have the whole galaxy to PvP in. I'm a pilot for the Rebellion on Intrepid and I am overt 90 percent of the time and I've seen one overt Imperial pilot so far. Rebels if you're confused go to Lok system: Rebellion Blaze, as soon as you load that quadrant hit the c key and you will target the Rebel Space Station. Just get on over there and declare. It's painless I assure you

I tend to go overt a bunch now in regular space...It is great to get those ground faction points and going into Kessel is even worth it because the Tier 5 craft give like 50-60 fps.

I'm not only on bria.. My bria pilot is neuteral and can't go overt. I may go rebel there after i finish neuteral though and can get the master pilot bonus to level. I play as an imperial on sunrunner, thats where i go overt.

I'm always overt. I have yet to find a single rebel overt in 3 days of searching.
