Ok I'm on the 3rdsegment of the mission where I'm escorting the Decoy ship and I have to kill enough rebs to "convince" them that the shuttle is carrying important data.
So here's the question: exactly how many of them do I need to kill??? this is the second time I've done this and both times the shuttle arbitrarily hypes out and says I havent killed enough. Last time I took down around 6 waves and it suddenly left. Today I'm on my 8th wave and then it left.I'm confused as to how the shuttle determines enough killingis enough. (And no i'm not too far away from it; always stayed with the shuttle and didnt get the message that said I left it unguarded)
Any help would be appreciated Thanks.

You have to kill them until they stop coming. Knowing Storm Squadron's missions, that's a good hour and a half.

I honestly don't remember, I managed to pass that mission my first try.
Think I just got lucky ... I do recall thought there were alot of em, and I was able to finish off one wave just before the next wave spawned. (damn A-wings would slow me down)
I read somewhere else it was also said you had to kill them fast enough so that you were finished, or just about with one wave when the next spawned.
I think it may be more a function of time rather than a set number of waves.
In other words, you need to kill X number of waves before the shuttle reaches it's hyperspace point, the faster you kill them the faster they spawn. (just guessing)
Note: Do not disable them, you have to completely destroy them, otherwise you won't get enough killed in time.

This mission was a real pain in the proverbial in BETA and is the reason I dumped Imp Navy for privateer. Never-the-less, if you want to continue banging your head on a brick wall with Storm Squad the mission is completed by eliminating ALL waves. Every single craft they throw at you must be destroyed before that shuttle reaches the end of it's path. If I remember correctly, it is 8 waves of pure fun (erm...yeah).

Its 4 complete waves, be careful not to let any stragglers go. If you miss even one ship in the firs wave that gets disabled but not totaly blown up for example you are doomed to fail period. If you completely destroy every ship in the first 4 waves that come at you, you will succeed. I did.
If you miss one they wil come wave after wave till the shuttle finaly jumps and you fail. So keep track, if you go past 4 waves something is wrong.

I don't know what to tell you. Other than this. Did you completely destroy each wave before the other arrived?I did this for 4 waves and the shuttle jumped witha mission succesful message. If that doesn't work then im stumped and i'd have to assume you are bugged.

I think its possible that it sees it as a fail if another wave comes and one is not destroyed. For the a-wings use a lead pursuit to get behind them. If you follw the lead indicator you will end up jousting them.
