Thread: Squadron Mission Terminal ! Friendly Idea!

I think there should be SQUADRON MISSION TERMINALS for large groups
of fighter pilots. Here is an example.
A group of 12 Imperial Pilots gathers in Theed. They get a mission:
MISSION: Rebel Corvette operating as medical frigate in the Dantooine system...
Heavy fighter cover.
The mission starts off with a straightforward attack on the lightly armed corvette,
but then, surprise! The corvette packs a punch, several waves of rebel fighters!
The Imperial pilots have to fend off those fighters and eventually take down the
corvette.
Any number of variations is possible with SQUADRON MISSSION TERMINALS, allowing high
end content, spawned per group, and attackable only by that group (subject to dev's wishes
of course...)
Rebel, Neutral variations on this are possible too.
Imagine a rebel mission to attack Imperial Shipping that is given a rude surprise by
an Imperial Star Destroyer! Fight or Flight! Lots of fun would be possible, and
mission variations could be written in!
Basically, I want something to do once I'm a master pilot, that will keep my guild
entertained, and allow fun content.

if this is SOE, Big product (and only hope for SWG) then they need to listen to what us, as customers would LIKE to see in the game.
Not all ideas are brilliant, but a mission terminal, for the squadrons WE joined is some what missing? So was JTL rushed out without thinking about these ideas? Probably.
So you get my Vote, i would also like to see another TRAINER available either in a faction station or in Major city (Bestine, Coronet)

Squadron Mission Terminals are a great idea. I'd like to see them implemented with both PvE (covert)and PvP (forced overt / Deep Space)missions. I think it would be a lot more fun than doing duty missions.

This would be a great idea. A storyline-based mission terminal (Smugglers, Escorting, etc.) would be very nice, and very fun - it would also be a very good change from the ground mission terminals (the missions with completely irelevant storylines).

I love this idea too but it should also allow for solo missions as well and scale to the group just like the ground Mission terminals.

Agreed.
For PVP, this is exactly what is needed. You grab a mission and it is to escort a frigate or something and it would take around an hour. The opposite side could take missions to destroy that frigate and it would provide them with the location and such. If the frigate gets to it's point and escapes, one side is paid. If not, the other side is paid. This would work much better than what they had for pvp (stopping people from getting master) because it would defenitely have some purpose (i imagine the pay on this would be high) and at the same time it wouldn't be a game-breaking issue that would make people want to quit.

Mission terminals for space missions are on their way. The fact that everyone has to do their training through missions, is giving SOE enough time to work out the bugs. If they were to release the mission terminals as they stand now, we would be complaining that there were bugs in every mission, instead of no mission terminals. Lesser of two evils. Don't think they won't be bugged from time to time anyway LOL.
But there are a few who have mastered pilot, and now are going.... um loot hunt? um hmmm.... what do we do now?
Be assured space missions are comming soon, neutral and factioned.
What I want is another monthly story line.
