Thread: TIE Advanced just needs a bit more mass

It's currently 65k right now, any possibility it could go up to at LEAST 85k? or 80k?
it's able to hold 2 guns but you cant really put 2 good guns without sacrificing something else.
That's just me though, if it worked out for others thats cool. Was just throwing things out for observation.

My advance has got lvl 7 shield and 2 lvl7 weapons, but there is no place for good armor or a missle launcher.

You can put pretty good equipment ina Tie Advanced.
You only need to use all possibilities that are available to save mass.
I use a very lightweight reactor and use a astromech command to overpower that reactor.
The privateer tree has that command. Get yourself a chip burned and put it into your flightcomputer.
I also use a lightweight engine.
With "reactor overload 4" "engine overload 4" and "weapon overload 3"that Tie is pretty fast and deadly cause my 2 level 7 blasters do pretty good damage.
I might be a little slower then with a highspeed engine but the firepower is really cool and agility is excellent.
I also have a nice shield and armor equipped. No missiles, but the bomberstrike carries my missiles for me

I've been using droid commands lately and I'm going to try those to conserve some space in my Advanced.
I made Master Pilot last night and decked out my Decimator but I literally cannot upgrade anything in my TIE Advanced. None of the new parts I have access to will fit! I've got a looted engine and reactor with about 1k mass each so I'm able to fit two 2800-max Advanced Blasters in, along with light shields and some light armor. But I was hoping to fit at least a better gun or better shield or something!
I think the Oppressor is incredibly ugly but I guess I'll be getting one of those after the patch.

Even 5K more would go a long way, but to be honest I don't think we should be able to put all the best equipment into our ships at the same time. Unless you've got a tank like the bomber or Firespray.

ya i have 2 awesome guns...the rest of my stuff sux due to it...might have to put one cruddy gun in it

Agree. I just upgraded to a Tie Advanced from a Tie Interceptor and if I add another lvl 6 ro 7 gun that extra mass is gone. And if I want to do that I need to get a big capacitor as well so it's a little dissapointing. Ended up using the same gun as my tie interceptor and adding a better engine. (which used almost all of the extra mass anyway.
I don't think comparing this to the A wing reasonable. The A-wing is supposed to be a Light scout fighter. Comparing it to the Tie Interceptor is more like it, and we come in at 49k mass there. The Tie Advanced is supposed to be a Heavy Figther. In order to fill that role it needs just a tad more I think. I'd be jumping for joy at 80k mass but that would be a big jump. I'd say 70-75k might be reasonable.
