i was once an imperial ace, gave it up, started privateer. I got a master pilot bonus message saying i get double exp whenever i killed something, now if i where to give up privateer and start rebel pilot for example, would i get triple exp?
would appreciate an answer if anybody knows or has done this,
thanks

A friend of mine was on his seventh Ace (after doing all three Imperial and Privateer squadrons, starting on the Rebel) when he decided to take a break from the game, and he was earning quadruple xp at the time.

Master Pilot bonus..
Pretty sure this is how it works:
MobXP * Number of pilot professions mastered.
So if you resigned ace once... MobXP * 1 profession.
so.. 1200 xp * 1 = 1200.
This bonus is on top of the normal 1200 xp.
So you get 2400 xp for that kill, essentually 2 kills for the price of one.
If your twice an ace resigned, then youve mastered 2 professions, so your bonus is 2400 on top of the nomral 1200. So you get 3 kills for the price of one.
This is all very cool but i highly doubt most people are hardcore enough to drop master, it is alot of work and the credit investment in ships is hard to get back. That said.. i must be nuts cause its what im doing.
After i do all 3 (with minimal amount of investment in ships), i might just pick one (cause remastering wont take very long) and hang out in deep space all the time, or just cancel and move on. Dunno yet.

Shouldn't ground professions work the same way? If you master a specific profession, drop it, and try to remaster it again...shouldn't you get double the xp?

No, because on the ground there's FS XP conversion. People would abuse this to no end.
