Well....you can either reduce PvP all the way or "buff" the ships like the ground game. (hope not but with all the complaints about this issue I'm sure it could happen). Personally, I just want the ships to be ships, to do the ACTUAL damage they do. If your opponent's shields and hull can't take it, oh well. At least it's realistic. Get up and try again. And if that means Player X is a one-hit kill, he should think about upgrades. I don't see a need for damage reduction at all. Just keep it real and let the players sort out the debris.

The Problem is i can chase a Teir 5 NPC around for a few minutes getting in shots and eventually wear him down and blow him away. I can go up against another Master Level PC and Destroy him in one pass, or vice versa. There should be some amount of Dogfighting to PVP.

There is, manuvering. This isnt WW1, your ship isnt made out of canvas and wood, you cant just let your aircraft take hits and hope you can pull out of range to come around again, you have to manuver CONSTANTLY, and if someone got the jump on you? Well Im afraid that your fault, whenever I was overt on my SS Ace, I had a second set of targeting keys mapped to my stick buttons with the shift key, every 60 seconds or less I hit the cycle enemy player target key, just to be sure there was nobody else around.

If your actually out there LOOKING for PvP, as opposed to overting to grind faction, you should be CONSTANTLY cycling that key, talk to a real pilot, the only two things that are going to keep you alive are situational awareness and how much energy your craft has stored(which applies differently in JTL because you cant use altitude to increase your potential energy).

You're flying a fighter above a war-torn country, and you spot an enemy fighter coming in on your high six, are you seriously telling me that you would switch shields double-back and enter into a slow turn while your enemy follows you shooting at you for two minutes until either you blow up or he cant out-turn you anymore? Because thats whats going to happen if they put in any more of a damage reduction.

High Tier NPCs take longer to kill because they give massive amounts of XP, if "a TIE was a TIE" etc, a Tier 1 pilot could go to Kessle with some 400-600 damage blasters and Master pilot in a few hours, they're tough to A-provide a challenge for those who prefer PvE, and B-to keep advancement through the pilot profession reasonably steady even though you gain better equipment.

Im still finding that JTL pvp is overVERY quickly & personaly would enjoy it a lot more if it lasted long enough to use the specials and some tactics.

Or do most pilots prefer the one hit kill fast fights?
