im a reb on the ground but went privateer in space. and for my final mission to get master i had to kill a bunch of ties and of course the imp corvette. if u are imp on the ground and go priv in space do u kill a rebel vette for master? or do all space privateers auto sympathize with rebellion even if ur imp on ground.

The master mission you do depends on which freelance group you choose. The SA which starts on Tat has to destroy the Imp Corvette. The RSF on Naboo has to destroy the Rebel Corvette and Corsec has the choice of which master mission they want to do.

RSF Neutrals = Imperial Sympathisers
CorSec = True Neutral, can choose wich vette they kill for master
Smuggler Alliance= Rebel Sympathisers

I was out doing my first privateer mission killing piratswhen a group of Tie fighters came along and started to attack me. Most anoying.
Fortunatly I was on to my last pirat, and could quickly kill it of and head for space station to land. They were definitly hostile, and I can't understand why since I was killing pirats.

I dunno about that.
Master mission aside, i kill who i want. Kessels a regular buffet. Do i feel like opressor's, or B wings? hmmm tasty.
I think SA does the imp corvette purely out of self intrest since imperial crack downs are not "good for buisness", and most definatly not done for any rebel rhetoric or revolution.

Is the enemy of your enemy your friend?
If the SA is an enemy of the Imperials, surely they have some similar goals as the rebellion.
The imperials would probably want to wipe out both in the end anyway, which probably makes the SA slightly aligned to the rebel's cause for their own ends.

It's not that they sympathise with the Rebellion it's that they are under the bootheel of the Empire like the rest of the galaxy. Corsec tries to stay independent but independence is not the Imperial way. The smugglers are well... smugglers. Naturally since the Imperials are the law they will find themselves opposed to the actions of the Empire even if they usually try to avoid them. Naboo is not strictly neutral. It's firmly part of the Empire. The RSF is basically the local police so they end up opposed to the Rebellion who threaten their peace.

I don't think so. And if i remember what a i read correctly, the hutt's (IE, SA) don't fare very well under the new republic (post empire) either. Smugglers Alliance are ahhh.. not exactly law abiding no matter who's in charge. If the situation was reversed, ill bet you'd see SA killing a rebel corvette instead of a imp one.
Anyway, it's all ideolgy and roleplay really. Bottom line is one mission does not decide the entire professions allignment, if you ask me, normal gameplay does.
Imp pilots, cant kill Imp NPCs
RSF cant kill imp NPCs
Rebels pilots cant kill rebel npcs
ive heard in the past same goes for CorSec, but ive also heard they can.
Smuggler Alliance pilots can kill imp and rebel
infact, in "crowded" areas you really have to watch your fire, EVERYONE is a yellow dot.
The reality is, acutal gameplay SA and CorSec are probably identical, only difference is the corvette. But the corvette doesnt define the profession.
