Are there Escape Pods on the large ships such as the Decimator? for use by passangers perhaps? so that when your ship Is on the brink of destruction you and your crew could hop Into an Escape Pod and land In a completley randomly location on the nearest planet? If this by any chance Is true, It would be so decent.

Heard that all ships have them but i don't have a clue how they work (not in beta).

You wont land in any random areas, something to do with coding, they can't make it so you can land anywhere but a starport last i heard.

At anytime you can /eject from your ship. When your ship is close to destruction you get a big red flashing EJECT button on your screen you can press. When you eject you go back to the closest space station where you can land or repair your ship (for a fee).

To expand on that:
In a single player ship, /escapepod destroys your ship, similarly to being killed.
In a multiplayer ship, as a passenger /escapepod will send you to the starport from which you took off. I didn't try it as the owner of the ship so I don't know which behavior it will do if it's your POB ship.
