All right all you fellow Privateers... what ship will you choese ? =) and how do you imagine, ull paint and modify it ? =)
Personally i don't know yet =) I think the Medium Hutt fighter looks awesome =) but i wanna see the Black sun ships before i make up my mind =)

/sigh you get no choice. You must be certified to fly each ship and you work them up. grind is insane. The yt 1300 is a master cert.

I would have taken A YT-1300 and used it as a freighter. But I refuse to grind.

Yes, same for me, but then i found out that it sucked in soloing =P ull need a small crew if you are gonna kick but with that ship =)

But that's the whole point! I don't really get people who want to solo in a MP ship. How fun would it be watching Star Wars if Han was all alone in the Falcon.
As for the actual subject of this thread: I'm gonna stick to my Dunelizard for a good long while. It maneuvres well and it only has slightly less mass than the more advanced ships. When I get to tier 4 I'll get myself aRihkxyrkthough, soI can bring som heavy firepower if needed. Oh... and the YT-1300 of course.

HAHAHAAHAHAAAA!!!Me I love the Kimo. Some people balk when you can have the maneuverability of the Dunelizard but it's TOTALLY my style. Three projectile hardpoints, and the standard ordnance. Plus style 2 is purdy, esp. with my texture 3 red and black paint job!

I like the Kimo myself as well. I love just sitting back and hammering my foes. Who needs manuverability when you have 3 hard points and tons of mass capacity..
Double up the front shilelds and armor and go head on with enemys. (just like I did in all the wing commander games) and when they go by (hopefully I have taken one or 2 out) I flip around and do it agian.
Head on strafing runs. I got more firepower, more shields and more armor than alot of ships. And the kimo can do ok at slower speeds if im in a jam, so overall, it just fits my style better.

Funny ... I found that I had the most fun with the Scyk due to its small size and maneuverability. felt like I was flying a fighter plane I hope to be able to strike a combination of engine and weapons that will allow me to play around with the big boys a bit, even if I have to be extra wary of taking too many hits.
