Just a thank you to the Devs for coming through on this. I understand it was a major pain to get this to work - being able to use AND see your personal Astromech (R unit) with those space craft that have slots for them. It's things like this that really give a feeling of "reality"and Star Warsyness to the game.

Seeing them make additional use out of the Astro Mechs was great. I thought for sure they'd just leave them out and tell us "its something we'd like to do someday, but its not in the immediate future."
Good job, Devs!

Yepp. It's really cool! Just too bad that there's onlythree (yes, 3!) ships that can actually take droids. All the others just use flight computers.
You'd have thought the Devs would have added astromech funcionality to some of the privateer ships at least, but alas...

Yeah? why don't they have astromech capability? I see a little spot on the top where one can stick and R series unit.

I have no idea. I've noticed the spots on the Scyk and Kimogila as well, so it seems the Devs planned for it but changed their mind. All us Privateers get are boring flight computers. When I was rebel pilot I really enjoyed having my R4 around like a companion on ground as well.
