Thanks devs, what idiot came up with the idea of needing to improve faction standing for rebelpilot? i drop imp pilot, leave the empire, im now neutral. sign up with the rebel trainer on tatooine, receive my starter ship and first mission. breeze through the mission (i like how the z-95doesnt fire in the middle of the targetting reticle.some more evidence that the devs are idiots.) come backl for mission 2 and guess what? im grounded, i need to improve my faction standing with the rebellian, im -5000 FP. how much exactly do i need to get? if it +200 then the devs can kiss my accounts goodbye, im loosing my patience with the devs and this game pretty quickly.

If i was george lucas i would of /slapped these devs until they cried.

Well what exactly did you expect? That the -5000 faction you have are meaningless?

i agree. the devs like having us waste our time. look at the faction scanner, broken but no warning that its broken.

The dev's obviously aren't star wars fans because theres alot of defection in star wars, just because you served the empire shouldn't mean you cant fly as a rebel. i thought they need all the pilots they can get?

you defected to the rebellian and now they've grounded you, doesn't sound very star wars.

Oh, give me a break. So, you're suggesting that, after being imperial and killing many rebels that, on a whim, they'll just happily accept you into thier cove?

C'mon. You'd have to prove yourself first. 5200 FP is not hard to get, even for the casual gamer.

i see you didn't think before posting.

Is it too much to ask for either no FP required for pilots or to reverse the order the pilot trainer says thing, rather than giving starter ship and first mission says "no you can't join you've been working for the empire"

That I agree with. I don't think ones with -5000 rebel should be allowed to join the rebellion on any level, ground or sky.

Also, I think it should be made more clear that, in the Privateer profession, RSF is imperial-aligned and CorSec is rebel-aligned. Not many know that.

I worked off -5000 Imperial standing to fly for the Empire. It's not that difficult, I kept doing those slaver missions. Didn't take as long as I thought, I just put a good CD in the player and it wasn't nearly as bad as I once thought. I had about 600k in the bank afterwards too.

i understand that but would you expect a rebel recruiter to accept you into the rebellian with -5000 FP then says you need to improve you faction standing when you try to do anything like go overt, request personal support, etc.

They'd tell you to go away and improve faction standing. Thats not what the rebel pilot trainer does
