"Friendly ships" well at least to say ships that are not targeting you, sometimes attack your target. That is not necessarily a bad thing, however it can get ugly really quick. When you hit a friendly NPC ship, it will become an enemy and attack you. With the last change, this has become much more of a problem for Tier 2 level pilots (although it effects all levels) because the ships and equipment does not allow for anything other then attacking an enemy that is coming at you, turning and attacking the enemy craft as it pulls away. Here is where the problem comes in, the "friendly" NPC ship will fly right behind the ship you are targeting (as it attacks) forcing you to cease fire. This limits how much you can shoot at the target and puts you at a very high risk for hitting that friendly ship, which then turns on you! We are going to see some tweaks to the current AI, however this issue may not have been looked at and I think it is a good idea to get it out in the open now.

For the folks that are using higher level equipment, this is not as much of an issue because they can change their angle of attack or just destroy the friendly's that turn enemy. You end up having to redo missions because the time expires as a result of you having to wait for a clear shot. This issue becomes a real problem when the mission spawns next to a friendly group.
