Thread: So i don't have to complete the JSF mission to get it and the cert?

I'm a Rebel Ace ATM
I read somewhere I can get the JSF like this:
Drop Rebel Pilot, Drop rebel ground
Join IMP ground, (do i need to join IMP space?)
Go to the Bones on Dath to get the pad
Do the quest until i go to vader (where is vader anyway?)
Talk to vader get the JSF
Drop IMP
Go Rebel grind up to Rebel Pilot 4xxx
I can fly the JSF?
So even if I don't do the space part of the mission i still get the certification and the fighter and can go back rebel and grind up and I will have it and be able to fly it?

You should be able to do that and still use the JSF, you will need imp pilot to do the mission.

You just need to be Imp on the ground. I'm a Privateer pilot and did the quest yesterday. I haven't actually flown my new ship yet, since I'm only 3333 Privateer Pilot, but it's in my inventory. 
I also haven't finished my mission for Vader. Keep getting killed by the assault boat during phase two...
The one danger of being a privateer pilot and doing this mission, is if you accidently hit one of the TIEs, they all aggro on you. SO instead of just having to shoot down the X-Wings, you have a mess of TIEs to deal with too.
Has anyone tried this quest while keeping Rebel pilot and only going Imp ground?
