Kashyyyk space station

I did all the missions from the guy on the planet I got sent to and he said go to the rebel base, but there isnt one on that planet.

You can - draw fighters away, take them out. Fly in directly behind corvettes engines, target gun 5, destroy it - making sure to stay out of the way of the other guns. Target and destroy primary shield. Target and destroy secondary shield. Wait until the vette is ~5000km away from the station then disable engines (this means the gunboats shouldn't spawn) - don't leave too long though or the vette will hyper away.

Job done.

Actually you can ignore gun 5 if you fly right up to the Vettes tail. Take out both shileds then wait untill the vette is less tha 6k away from rebel satation than disable engines. Stay tucked wher eyoua re until the engineers take over. If you disable at about the 5k mark she'll make the jump before the Gunboat can get into the fight.

ok, despite my post above I just tried it and no matter what I do the shield never drops below 100% (not talking about the priamry and secondary shield generators).

I have tried sitting directly behind the engine and trying to take out gun 5 aswell (which usually results in a quick death ) but no matter how many times I hit the damn thing the shields never drop.

Bug or am I being stupid??

Your post above didn't mention that for the method described to work, it is necessary to use missiles to destroy the components. If you're using blasters you can't just bang away at the ship like you can with everything else, your bolts need to actually hit the component you're targetting (For the shield generators this means being in front of the Corvette). You can ignore the shield value displayed for the ship, you only need to worry about the condition of the ship system you intend to destroy.
