Thread: Need help with flying

I'm new to the game, and cannot figure much out about flying. All I'm able to do is fly around and shoot red bordered ships. I've done 2 rebel missions but I don't feel like I've learned anything. I can get to hyperspace, and once I find the space station I can repair my ship or land on the planet. Surely this isn't all there is to space battle. I have not seen a good manual outlining what all can be done and how to do it. Can anyone help me with this?

Your rebel trainer will start giving u missions, usually these missions require u to go to a waypoint. If you're not going to that waypoint, you'll be failing the mission.
You'll need the extra Pilot XP from doing the "independent" fighting that you're doing to level up with your trainer.
If in doubt, go back to your trainer on whatever planet.

You can read the stickied topics in the Pilots profession forum under the main Professions heading. (Btw hyper by pressing H, choosing a destination and press travel.)

Sheesh, didn't even think of checking to see if there was a pilot profession board.
